The QUDRA programme has been a particularly impactful international intervention in response to this complex humanitarian crisis, affecting not only those displaced but also host communities that have been struggling to cope with an increasingly deteriorating situation.
The Kurdistan Region currently hosts nearly 1.5 million of Internally Displaced People (IDPs) and refugees, including 30 percent of Iraq IDPs numbering (1,176,451 persons) and 97 percent of Syrian refugees numbering (283,546 persons).
The course witnessed high participation as forty staff from the JCC HQ and its offices in the governorates participated in the workshop. The workshop is one of the joint projects run by JCC and GIZ within the framework of cooperation.
