The medical assistance is worth of (300,000 USD) and it is the most needed medicine and pharmaceutical items. It is worth to mention that it has been for the fourth year, the Republic of South Korea provides such medical aids to support KRG’s humanitarian efforts in the health sector.
Both sides discussed the needs of the Internally Displaced People (IDPs), refugees and the host communities in the Kurdistan Region and particularly providing them with the humanitarian assistance, mainly the food items.
The Kurdistan Regional Government and the Humanitarian Community will continue to coordinate humanitarian assistance to continue responding to the needs and challenges faced by displaced people and returnees across the region.
After the KRG Council of Ministers approved and endorsed the Strategic plan on May 2017, JCC started to implement the strategy and drafting a law for disaster and crisis management is one of the key components of the strategy.
